Travellers beefs up portfolio with fifth acquisition: Cityville Apartments & Motel, Rockhampton

August 15, 2025
Cityville Apartments & Motel Rockhampton offers convenient and comfortable accommodation.

Regional Australian accommodation group, Travellers, today announced the acquisition of Cityville Apartments & Motel in Rockhampton – Australia’s beef capital – further expanding its rapidly growing regional collection.

The centrally-located, 24-key property marks the group’s fifth addition since its establishment in late 2023 and reinforces Travellers’ strategic focus on securing best-in-class assets in key regional Australian hubs.

Cityville Apartments & Motel offers modern apartments and motel rooms, catering to both corporate and leisure travellers seeking convenient, fully self-contained accommodation.

Travellers Managing Director, Craig Smith, described the Central Queensland acquisition as another strong step in the group’s regional growth strategy.

“Cityville is a high-quality asset in Rockhampton, a thriving regional hub with a robust and growing accommodation market, and we’re thrilled to welcome it into the Travellers portfolio,” Mr Smith said.

“Our goal is to enhance the already strong foundations in place at Cityville, leveraging Travellers’ systems and service to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while contributing to the local economy.”

“This acquisition reaffirms our commitment to investing in best-in-class regional Australian accommodation and supporting the communities in which we operate.”

Cityville Apartments & Motel is Travellers’ fourth acquisition facilitated by national specialist accommodation agency, ResortBrokers, following deals in Bundaberg, Emerald (QLD), and Dubbo (NSW).

These properties, along with Yallungah Boutique Hotel in Orange, form Travellers’ expanding accommodation portfolio.

The off-market deal was negotiated by ResortBrokers’ Nathan Benjamin.

“Cityville was the perfect fit for Travellers’ regional hub investment strategy,” Mr Benjamin said.

“We’re delighted to have matched the vendor with an experienced and values-aligned operator.”
