Craig Smith
Managing Director
Craig brings to Travellers Group a wealth of experience across the hospitality & tourism, accommodation/residential lifestyle services and asset management sectors.
With a career spanning over thirty-five years, Craig has extensive senior leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams within medium to large-scale mixed-use resort/hotel properties, working both domestically and internationally for world-renowned hotel operators including Accor, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Minor Hotels and Mantra Group.
Craig's career highlights include being appointed Area General Manager, Hawai'i to transition Mantra Group's entry into the US with the acquisition of the 1,176-condominium Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra in Honolulu, and leading the client operations/asset management division for IFA Hotels & Resorts. His most recent role was Area General Manager with Minor Hotels, responsible for the company's thirteen Brisbane-based properties.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts – Hospitality Management (equivalency) from Cornell University.
Alex Dignam
Chairman
Alex is a corporate finance and capital markets executive with 17 years' experience gained through various roles at Deutsche Bank and UBS Investment Bank in Sydney.
His most recent role was as Managing Director, Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets at UBS for Australia and New Zealand.
Throughout his investment banking career, Alex worked on over 130 transactions, advising small, mid-cap and large companies on acquisitions, divestments, capital structure changes, equity and debt raisings and equity derivatives across industrials, financials, infrastructure, energy, resources and real estate.
Andrew Northcott
Director
Andrew Northcott has spent his career building businesses across a range of sectors including workforce management, agriculture, real estate, hospitality and business services. His approach has always centred on strong systems, long-term thinking and having great people join the journey.
Travellers reflects those same values — a quietly growing group focused on delivering reliable, well-run regional accommodation with genuine care for guests, teams, and the communities they serve.
Andrew is the founder and chairman of Wattlestone, a privately owned investment company with assets and operating businesses across a range of sectors and geographies.
Rebecca Negus
Chief Financial & Operating Officer
With over 20 years of international experience in senior finance and management roles, Rebecca brings a wealth of expertise in driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and organisational growth across both corporate and non-profit sectors.
Rebecca has held leadership positions with Roubler, Foodbank Queensland, Magnam Business Consulting, and Labour Solutions Australia. At Foodbank Queensland she also served as Acting Chief Executive Officer.
At Travellers Group, Rebecca oversees both financial strategy and operational performance, ensuring the group's continued growth and long-term sustainability.
Jessica Smith
Group Marketing Director
With over 10 years of experience in senior marketing roles within the hospitality and tourism industries, Jessica has managed and executed campaigns for leading national and Queensland-based brands such as The Star Entertainment Group, TAB, Brisbane Racing Club, and Beechmont Estate.
At Travellers Group, Jessica develops and executes innovative marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive direct bookings and build lasting customer relationships, contributing to the group's growing online presence and market share.
